This morning I passed by Sharg co-op near Dasman palace, as every one of you noticed before that Starbucks is going to open there. But I just noticed today that they are going to open a drive through. I will leave you with the pictures.
Human Development Index (HDI) ,, Kuwait is ranked 31 with 0.916
I found this interesting fact about Kuwait concerning it’s rank among developing and developed countries. I came across the Human Development Index (HDI) which is an index used to rank countries by level of “human development”, which usually also implies whether a country is developed, developing, or underdeveloped.
The 2009 report was released on October 5, 2009, and covers the period up to 2007. It was titled “Overcoming barriers: Human mobility and development”. The top countries by HDI were grouped in a new category called “Very High Human Development”. The report refers to these countries as “developed countries”. They are:

Daily coffee,,,,>>> for girls ?
A friend of mine sent me this funny picture. As it shows, it is a schedule for making Arabic coffee presumably in a work place. Surprisingly enough 🙂 they are so efficient in doing what should not be done in a work place. lool. But honestly I’m not sure of the credibility of the picture, because the picture is taken in June 2009, and the schedule starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday. But maybe it’s in Saudi Arabia.

ما شهدنا من أحداث في سيناريو المسرح السياسي في الأيام الخيرة القلائل، نهاية من حزمة الاستجوابات وبدءا من برنامج السرايا على قناة السور، وصولا إلى الحشود الجماهيرية هنا وهناك كردة فعل لما قيل في البرنامج، لا يدل إلا على أزمة فكر وحوار مازالت قائمة، ووجود كواليس خلفية حاضرة. بغض النظر عما قيل في برنامج السرايا من معلومات، وان صحت فهي مؤلمة، اسلوب التحاور من قبل مقدمه محمد الجويهل لم يكن جديدا على الساحة السياسية الكويتية، وابدي غرابة كبيرة لمن اندهش من تردي وسقوط مستوى الحوار، فهذا الاسلوب هو ذاته المتخذ تحت قبة قاعة عبدالله السالم في كثير من الأحيان من قبل بعض نواب الأمة، وما الفارق إلا الوسيلة المتخذة لتسجل عليه كون ظهوره كان اعلاميا ولا يملك حصانة برلمانية، وإذا كان هناك من يسعى للرد على ما قاله في البرنامج، فهنا في الكويت دولة الدستور أساليب اكثر تمدنا وحضارة كالقانون والقضاء للرد والمطالبة بالحقوق بأشكالها المختلفة، أما أن تكون ردة الفعل غوغائية، وبصورة تجمعات وحشود وصراخ وعويل لتحريك مشاعر الناخبين وتصعيد الوضع للتكسب السياسي بل واغلاق قناة السور، فهو أمر مؤسف حقا، فالعلاج عندنا دائما يأتي مؤقتا بالبتر والكي كأسهل الحلول، وبذلك وصلنا إلى نتيجة مؤسفة ــ بتخطيط أو بعدمه ــ وهي المطالبة بتشديد الرقابة على الإعلام وصولا إلى المدونات الإلكترونية، وهو ما تنشده الحكومة منذ فترة، وها قد حصلت عليه وبمباركة حشود جماهيرية، ومنهم من وقف في مرات كثيرة يطالب برفع سقف الحريات، لنشهد من هؤلاء تخبطا جديدا فوق الكم الهائل من التخبط السياسي المتراكم، فالبعض عندنا لا يعرف ما يريد أو حتى قد لا يفهمه! كثير مما تجرأ محمد الجويهل على قوله هو ذاته ما يقوله الكثير من الكويتيين ومن فئات وانتماءات مختلفة بصمت، وذلك بشكل أو بآخر، فالفكر الاقصائي والنازي ومفهوم الإبادة للآخر سائدة في عقلية المجتمع الكويتي، وذلك لا يعود إلا لطفولة سياسية، والفكر المتوارث وعادات الجاهلية الأولى، والتي مازالت متواجدة وبقوة في مجتمعنا من تفاخر بالأنساب والعوائل والقبائل عوضا عن التفاخر بالفرد وانجازه وأعماله، واعطاء كل فرد حقه رجوعا إلى الذات لا إلى العائلة أو القبيلة، التمزق في نسيج الشعب الكويتي سيظل واضحا، إذا ظل هذا السقوط في مستوى الحوار وهذا الفكر الجاهلي سائدين على الصعيد السياسي، وإن استمر ذلك ستكون العواقب وخيمة على الدولة بأكملها. ليس على الشعب الكويتي أن يحب بعضه بعضا، بل عليه أن يفهم ويعي كيفية التعايش بعضه مع بعض كمجتمع متحضر، والتوقف عن السلوك الاقصائي للآخر، وان يستوعب أن مفهوم الدولة يتسع للجميع، ليس على خيوط هذا النسيج المتباين من المجتمع الكويتي إلا أن تحيك ذاتها ثوبا بقياس الكويت الوطن والدولة وكفى! أسيل عبدالحميد أمين aseel.amin@hotmail.com

I just got the invitation from Google wave ,, I will test it during the weekend and give you feedback, they also gave me 8 invitation to give to friends ,, do you want one, let me know. 🙂
Brainstorming session,,,
As I promised before that every once and a while we will be discussing some issues regarding our blog to increase the interaction between our readers and us. So, the first thing we would like to discuss is the name of the bog. What do you think should we stick to it. Or change it to something else. The another thing to discuss the kind of topics we are posting so far. What do you think?
Google wave,,,
During my daily morning net surfing, I came across Google wave. It’s a new thing of what so called “architecture of participation” tool. It is created by the same people that developed Google maps so we should expect something really solid. The wave itself as described by Google people is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. The wave itself consists of a dynamic mix of conversation models and highly interactive document creation via the browser. But for the time being you can’t access the Google wave until you got invited by someone already have an access, but you can register your email and answer a couple of questions of how you are intended to help the Google wave team improve the wave. So currently I’ll be waiting for a replay from them.
